The Urban Folk Quartet

Joe Broughton, Paloma Trigás, Tom Chapman and Dan Walsh are The Urban Folk Quartet. Four highly accomplished musicians, a dozen instruments and four voices coming together to craft a knockout show of globally–influenced, electrifying acoustic music that has been taking the international folk scene by storm.

Hitting the ground running in 2009, The UFQ’s trail has blazed across ten countries, igniting audiences worldwide with their high octane, genre-bending take on folk. 2014 brings further new direction as founding member Frank Moon steps out of touring life, passing the torch to banjo virtuoso, singer and guitarist Dan Walsh for what is set to be the band’s most adventurous year so far.

"I was absolutely slain. Fans of ambitious folk should check this out."
The Telegraph

"The UFQ show a great deal of invention and inspiration."
The Guardian

"UFQ are Impossibly wonderful"

“Big-hearted music, breathtaking.”  ★★★★★ R2 (Rock 'n' Reel)

There’s a palpable electricity to a UFQ gig that surges through the band and into the crowd... and Off Beaten Tracks is an emotionally-charged masterpiece.
